3 NEW GASIFICATION PROJECTS IN CROATIA
EQTEC Iberia have signed a new agreement with the energy service company SENSE ESCO Ltd to provide under the turnkey model, 3 new projects of Integrated Biomass Gasification Power Plants (IBGPP) in Croatia.
SENSE ESCO, an energy service company, has relied yet again on EQTEC Gasifier Technology for their business expansion in the Croatian market. This Company already has a biomass power plant (Belisce I) in operation based on our gasification technology.
The first new Project, called Belisce II and located in the Belisce municipality (Croatia), will have an electric power of 1.3 MWe, thermal power of 1.6 MWt and a treatment capacity ca 8,000 tons anual waste forest wood. This Project is the second phase of the aforementioned Belisce I, which will be installed in the same vicinity.
The second Project “Bioenergetika”, located in Vrpolje (Croatia), will have an electric power of 1.1 MWe, thermal power of 1.6 MWt and a treatment capacity ca 8,000 tons anual waste forest wood.
The third Project “Sibenik”, located in Sibenik (Croatia), will have an electric power of 2 MWe, thermal power of 2.7 MWt and a treatment capacity ca 12000 tons anual agro-industrial waste from the olive sector.
The forecasted start-up date of Belisce II and Bioenergetik is the second semester of 2018 and Sibenik the first semester of 2019. The SENSE ESCO investment for the 3 projects will be ca 28 million euros and EQTEC´s forecasted turnover will be ca 25 million euros.
With the signature of this agreements, EQTEC will continue working in Croatia together with SENSE ESCO, one of the most active local companies, allowing us to consolidate EQTEC Gasifier Technology in the waste valorization energy projects and strengthen our strategy in the Balkan markets.
